I’ve tried almost every dish on the menu and there wasn’t even one that I didn’t like. Everything is made from fresh, high quality ingredients and in my opinion standard portions are quite big. It’s a small, cozy restaurant with great atmosphere. Located in city center but far enough from main street so that you won’t be disturbed by noise. Great place to eat delicous food and relax!
It was my 5th or 6th time in Peko Peko yesterday. I was supposed to come with two friends of mine... but it turned out that there were 6 of us. We didn't make a reservation and it turned out that there is not enough space in the restaurant. However, we waited patiently at the door. The service was great. A nice waitress came to us saying that "it will be fixed", and she delivered a cup of hot and delicious tea for everyone. We waited for some time even though it was cold, but it was all worth it. Peko Peko serves nice Japanese dishes which are like homemade food. Also, the atmosphere there is really good. One can make origami while waiting for their order or type some nice words in a guest book. Also, they have delicious matcha latte and matcha pudding (but I might be biased with my opinion, cause I'm a general matcha lover). Best wishes to the owner of the place and thank you for good food and nice service! :) <3
I've been here quite a few times and tasted just about everything on the menu, and let me tell you - it's worth it. The food is simplistic, everything is prepared fresh, and you finish your meal full and very, very satisfied. (Vegetarians are welcome to ask for tofu-based versions of the dishes in the menu!) It's great price for value, too. The place is tiny, but it has got an amazing atmosphere, and I have to give a word of warning here - the kitchen is also a tiny thing, and dining in Peko Peko could be considered a slow food experience, despite the relatively short time it takes to prepare the meals. There is a chance you might have to wait a moment for your katsudon, so my advice is to relax and learn to fold an origami crane in the meantime. Will definitely come back there as often as possible!
